THE ADVENTURE OF BILIKI THE PEPPER SELLER EPISODE 3

Biliki had grown up with the resemblance of her father,
Her mother always taught her the basics of life, she taught her how to be of good behaviour anywhere she finds herself. She's the only one left with her, biologically she's her best friend and her confidant. Sometimes she'd scold her for wrong deeds as the adage says that “a pap would always roughen the palm of a child no matter the carefulness”   Biliki had no access to proper education since the little her mother gets from the pepper business wasn't enough to cater for their needs. The small farm which her father left behind was their only hope thereby leaving them to live from hand to mouth. She was denied of baby-toys, dolls and other things that lighten up the mood of a child. Sometimes she would frolic the sands, she would join tattered rope for skipping.
At 15, she started hawking pepper, at that tender age she would go as far as possible to sell in order to add more to their standard of living an inch. When she returns back in the evening her mother would help her massage her body.
One sunny afternoon, Mama Biliki was in the farm taking her normal routines when she got bitten by a snake, she cried aloud to call the attention of neighbors who now took her to some place where the snake’s poison was plucked out of her body, sweat on her body was flowing and it was like her body was emptied, she dozed off. Biliki who was still on the street was brought to state of stupefaction on her hearing the tragic occurrence that happened to her mother, she couldn’t withstand the shock but managed to run as fast she could to where her mother was when she ran into a car. “Oh thou glory of the world!”
