The Adventure of Biliki the pepper seller Episode 7

Mama what happened?Biliki asked.she was transfixed,unable to look away from from the phone.Biliki walked up to her,she shook her vigorously,then she respond to her"our helper has died"Biliki looked confused until reality dawn on her what her mother meant,she sprawled on the floor and wept profusely.mother and child wept sorrowly.

They went to the D.P.O house and met a lot of people sympathizes with the deceased wife and children,they moved close to the wife to offer their condolences.

The funeral rites was performed after eight days.

Biliki and her mother get back to their daily routine.

On a sunny afternoon,the sun is so hot(found anoda English)that one has to drink water often,buh z nt only human being buh devil too.Have you always heard this funny interpretation'bad day devil drink water'such is a day for Mama biliki and her child.

Mama biliki is busy arranging the pepper when two men and a woman dressed in suit,with file in their hand walked in.she offer them a sit but they refused politely,they would rather stand for there meeting with her is brief.

The bomb shell was dropped,mama biliki fainted but was quickly revived,they made her sit-down and apologize for the inconvenience.

Biliki was seen jumping happily on the road,people wondering why? On getting home,she shouted Mama!Mama!!come and see o!I have passed my exam,I have seven distinction in my WAEC.God has done it.she expected to see her mother coming out happily to meet her with a song,but all she could see is the goat eating the cassava flake spread on the ground.she rushed in and was amazed to see her mother sitting helplessly.Biliki asked,Mama what happened?are you not happy for my result,I got seven distinction mama,But wat Biliki heard from her mother is "we are to leave this house within seven days"what!Biliki screemed.Mama,this is our house,we are not going anywhere,who asked them to chase us out,mama reply her and said his wife,they said this house was bought from a joint account own by his wife also,and you know that the man promised this house will be under your name,when you turn   18,and is two month away,so the name is till under his and his wife name.What are we going to do about the pepper farm.We were asked  to only packed our cloths.

Mama,  What about our farm? Aren't we going back to square one like this! (sigh) May God help us.
